Absolem Johnson Butler was born February 10, 1834 in
Anderson Co., South Carolina, the son of Absolem Butler
and Nancy Cleland Butler.
Absolem married Rebecca Louisa Davis in January, 1852 in Gordon Co., GA. Rebecca was born on January 13, 1834 in SC and died December 23, 1912 in Goree, Knox Co., TX and was buried in the Friendship Cemetery there.
Their children were:
1. Talitha Matilda Butler
2. Jincie Ann Butler
3. Icie Dora Butler
4. William D. Butler
Louisa Butler received a Confederate Pension #10177 in Parker Co., TX.
Absolem died January 10, 1903 and was buried in Lone Star Cemetery, Poolville, Parker Co., Texas.
