Wooldridge Cemetery, Lamar County, Texas
LOCATION: Wooldridge Cemetery is located in the southwest quadrant of the county. It is in Block 47 of the Lamar County Road Map produced by American Drafting and Services revised December 1993.
DIRECTIONS: The original cemetery of what was thought to be only three graves is in a field northwest of Brackeen Cemetery at the dead end of the road leading to Brackeen Cemetery.
GPS COORDINATES: In May 2011, the grandson of the landowner provided these GPS coordinates for the cemetery:
33° 34' 51.35 N, 95° 36' 15.37 W
(33.6642639 Latitude and -95.6042694 Longitude)
OLDEST KNOWN BURIAL: The oldest known grave is that of Edmund Miles Wooldridge who died in 1861.
NUMBER OF GRAVES: There are 14 known graves in the cemetery. (July 2017)
SIGNS/MARKERS: There is not a state highway marker for the cemetery.

LAST ENUMERATION: In April 1995 an attempt was made to locate these tombstones to no avail by Ron Brothers and Butch and Betsy Mills. In May 2011, the grandson of the landowner did locate the tombstones and provided GPS coordinates.
ADD'L INFORMATION: The original cemetery of what was thought to be only three graves is in a field northwest of Brackeen Cemetery at the dead end of the road leading to Brackeen Cemetery. The three grave markers in Wooldridge were scheduled to be moved to Brackeen Cemetery in 1992 by Bettie Sayers, Paris, who recorded the records 11 Aug 1992, but as of 2011 had not been. There are now five records of burial here after the addition of information from B. Don Taylor, 21 Apr 1995, Bellevue, WA. In April 1995 an attempt was made to locate these tombstones to no avail by Ron Brothers and Butch and Betsy Mills.

The following persons are known to be buried here: Mrs. T. N. Blankenship died 26 Apr 1910, Hubert Bolton died 16 Jan 1910, Edmund Wooldridge (1808 - 1861), Infant Daughter Wooldridge 3 Nov 1870 - 11 Dec 1870, Malinda Goar Wooldridge died 25 Jan 1864, Miles W. Wooldridge 28 Jul 1876 - 13 Nov 1889, Oliver L. Wooldridge 2 May 1883 - 27 Aug 1891. Others have been added to these by family researchers.
