LOCATION: Whittenburg Cemetery is located in the southwest quadrant of the county off County Road 27310 in Block 52 of the Lamar County Road Map produced by American Drafting and Services revised December 1993.

DIRECTIONS: The cemetery may be near CR 27260 off of Hwy 824 which turns south off of Hwy 137.

GPS COORDINATES: Not available

OLDEST KNOWN BURIAL: The oldest inscribed grave is that of Mary E. Whittenburg Campbell who died 19 Feb 1890.

NUMBER OF GRAVES: There are over 20 known graves in the cemetery. (July 2017)

SIGNS/MARKERS: There is not a sign for the cemetery.

LAST ENUMERATION: The cemetery was enumerated by Elizabeth Booth.

ADD'L INFORMATION: From the records of Elizabeth Booth: 'There are over twenty graves but only 5 of them could be identified.' Mary E. Whittenburg Campbell is the oldest inscribed grave dated 19 Feb 1890. The following persons are known to be buried here: D. E. Campbell 24 Feb 1870 - 2 Mar 1906, Mary E. Whittenburg Campbell 19 Mar 1852 - 19 Feb 1890, William Lafitte Campbell 16 Jan 1886 - 20 Sep 1903, Jack W. Walker 14 Oct 1857 - 17 Feb 1905 and Rev. Joe Ben Whittenburg 3 Mar 1849 - 15 Oct 1891.
