LOCATION: Rice Cemetery is located in the southwest quadrant of the county. It is in Block 47 of the Lamar County Road Map produced by American Drafting and Services revised December 1993. DIRECTIONS: The cemetery is located between Brookston and Ambia communities off Farm Market Road 1506. It is at the end of County Road 23110 on the north side. (33.5951361 Latitude and -95.6378917 Longitude)OLDEST KNOWN BURIAL: The oldest inscribed grave is that of Martha A. Rice who died 12 April 1876. NUMBER OF GRAVES: There are 9 known graves in the cemetery. (July 2017) SIGNS/MARKERS: There is not a state highway marker for the cemetery. LAST ENUMERATION: In April 1995 the cemetery was revisited by Butch and Betsy Mills and the records were rechecked. ADD'L INFORMATION: In 2011, the cemetery was nicely cleaned up and visible from the road. The following persons are known to be buried here: Emma Florence Jones 11 Dec 1899 - 23 Jul 1900, Fred Jones 26 Jun 1898 - 25 Aug 1899, A. M. Rice (birth and death are not known), Margaret A. Rice 5 Jan 1811 - 26 Mar 1903, Martha A. Rice 26 May 1874 - 12 Apr 1876, Z. B. Rice 5 Aug 1809 - 13 Feb 1885, Alma Wilson 6 Jun 1909 - 23 Dec 1909, Joshua J.
