Palestine Cemetery, Lamar County, Texas
LOCATION: Palestine Cemetery is a Black cemetery in the northeast quadrant of the county in Block 11 of the Lamar County Road Map produced by American Drafting and Services revised December 1993.
DIRECTIONS: The cemetery is about 5 miles north from the Novice intersection of Farm Market Road 906 and Farm Market Road 195 on County Road 46700.
GPS COORDINATES: Not available
OLDEST KNOWN BURIAL: The oldest inscribed grave is that of of Arthur Booker who died 21 Sep 1900.
NUMBER OF GRAVES: There are 277 known graves in the cemetery. (July 2017)
SIGNS/MARKERS: There is not a sign for the cemetery.
LAST ENUMERATION: The cemetery was recorded by Ron Brothers in May 1991.
ADD'L INFORMATION: There are many deteriorating metal markers that are quickly becoming unknown.
