LOCATION: Killingsworth Cemetery is located in the southwest quadrant of the county off Highway 38 near Roxton. It is on County Road 24800 in Block 45 of the Lamar County Road Map produced by American Drafting and Services revised December 1993. The 1989 General Highway Map of Lamar County, revised to May 1, 1992 incorrectly refers to this cemetery as Gough Cemetery. DIRECTIONS: To reach the cemetery, from 82 West, go south on FM 38. Turn right (west) onto CR 24800. Cemetery is about a mile down and on the left. GPS COORDINATES: 33° 34' 18.42" N, 95° 43' 38.78" W.

OLDEST KNOWN BURIAL: The oldest inscribed grave is that of Wily Foreman Mayo who died in 1877. NUMBER OF GRAVES: There are 29 known graves in the cemetery. (July 2017) SIGNS/MARKERS: There is a state highway marker for the cemetery on FM 38. LAST ENUMERATION: Ron Brothers revisited the site on March 19, 1994. ADD'L INFORMATION: Fourteen graves were recorded by Elizabeth Booth on March 5, 1978. A marker sits at the entrance to the cemetery inscribed, "Killingsworth Cemetery, in memory of Elisha A. Killingsworth 1897-_____. Memory of the Rogers Family 1978." PICTURE(S):
