Corn Cemetery, Lamar County, Texas

LOCATION: Corn Cemetery is located in the northeast quadrant of the county. It is in Block 26 of the Lamar County Road Map produced by American Drafting and Services revised December 1993.

DIRECTIONS: The cemetery is located about 1.5 miles north northwest (towards the Ninemile creek area) of the community of Faught. It is on County Road 43310. From the Faught Community proceed westerly on FM 195 for 4/10 miles to the intersection with CR 43380, Take CR 43380 northerly for 1.2 miles the intersection with CR 43310, Take CR 43310 westerly for 3/10 miles and the cemetery is on the right or north side of the road.

GPS COORDINATES: 33° 44' 57 N, 95° 26' 28 W (33.74926 Latitude and Longitude -95.44134)

OLDEST KNOWN BURIAL: The earliest inscribed death is that of the Infant Bowers, daughter of Luisanna A. Corn and Lemual Bowers on 7 Nov 1879.

NUMBER OF GRAVES: There are 14 known graves in the cemetery. (July 2017)

SIGNS/MARKERS: There is a state highway marker for the cemetery.

LAST ENUMERATION: Cemetery was last visited by Lawrence and Sue Dale in 2016.
