Bray-Bryam Cemetery, Lamar County, Texas
LOCATION: Bray-Bryam Cemetery is located in the northwest quadrant of the county about one mile north of the intersection of Loop 286 and 19th NW in Block 32 of the Lamar County Road Map produced by American Drafting and Services revised December 1993.
DIRECTIONS: The cemetery is north the intersection of Loop 286 and 19th NW. Follow 19th NW toward Lake Crook about one mile. It is on County Road 31600. The cemetery is about 100 yards west of the road in a pasture on the private property that belonged to Merry Lee Bryam.
GPS COORDINATES: Not available.
OLDEST KNOWN BURIAL: The oldest inscribed grave is that of Lucy Bray who died 18 Jun 1884.
NUMBER OF GRAVES: There are 9 known graves in the cemetery. (July 2017)
SIGNS/MARKERS: There is not a sign for the cemetery.
LAST ENUMERATION: The cemetery was recorded on 8 May 1992 by Elizabeth House and Betsy Mills.
ADD'L INFORMATION: At one time this was a black cemetery. Now it is mixed with the burial of Bryam family members. The following persons are known to be buried here: Hermon Akins 1905 - Mar 1911, Mildred Gladys Gregory Biggs 2 Sep 1918 - 23 Apr 1992, Stanley Biggs 1 Jan 1918 - 8 Mar 1986, Harrison Bray Birth not known - 22 Nov 1915, Lucy Bray 5 Sep 1817 - 18 Jun 1884, Orange Bray 1792 - 5 Feb 1891, Unknown Bray 4 Jul 1872 - 15 Apr 1909, Derrell Wayne Bryam 4 Jun 1949 - 18 Feb 1986.
