Bethlehem Cemetery, Lamar County, Texas
LOCATION: Bethlehem Cemetery is a Black cemetery located between the Biardstown and Rockford communities in Block 57 of the Lamar County Road Map produced by American Drafting and Services revised December 1993.
DIRECTIONS: The cemetery is about 2 1/2 miles between the Biardstown and Rockford communities. It is on the same county road and south of Friendship Baptist Cemetery at the intersection of County Roads 14750 and 14680
GPS COORDINATES: 33° 30' 14.6799999 N, 95° 30' 1.9799999 W. (33.504078 Latitude and -95.50055 Longitude)
OLDEST KNOWN BURIAL: The oldest inscribed grave is that of Nancy Pullum who died in 1872.
NUMBER OF GRAVES: There are 70 known graves in the cemetery. (July 2017)
SIGNS/MARKERS: There is no highway marker for the cemetery.
LAST ENUMERATION: It was recorded in 1990 by Ron Brothers.
ADD'L INFORMATION: The cemetery contains more than the 57 graves that could be identified by markers, as many markers have not survived the test of time and vandals. Additional records have been added from death certificates and obituaries.
