| Notes Funeral Home Record, Dec. 10, 2025; Vicky (Vick) Lynn Barber passed away on December 7, 2025, at Still House Nursing Home. He was born June 11, 1947, to parents George and Flora Barber in Lamar County Texas. Vick was known for his loving heart. He was stubborn but had a love for his family that couldn't compare. He loved being outside and his yard work was like no other. He was in the army and worked in the labor field. He married the love of his life on January 12, 1978 if there was one thing he did right, that was love her like no other could. Vick is survived by wife, Kay Barber; his children, Mandy McCann, Wendy Taylor, Sandra Armentrout, Jana Parson, and Eddie Chennault; brother, Joe Barber and sister, Shirley Madden as well as an army of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, daughter, Tammy Chennault; mother and father-in-law, Ed and Virgie Baze; brothers, William and Wayne Barber; and sisters, Jewel McCarter and Kathy Casey. The family would like to thank Stillhouse and Hospice Plus for their excellent care. Funeral Service will be Thursday, December 18 at 1:00 PM at Fry Gibbs Funeral Home. Family will receive visitors 30 minutes before the service. Pallbearers- Ethan Hively, Harley McCann, Josh Mullins, Allen Crutchfield, Eddie Chennault, Jacky McCann. |
