The Paris News, June 6, 1979; Mrs. A.J. Baumgardner, 85, of 1604 E. Sherman Street, died Monday, June 4, 1979 in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 6, at the Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Daniel Rhoades of the Briggs Street United Methodist Church in Dallas. A graveside service was held at Restland Cemetery in Dallas on Wednesday afternoon. Lillie A. Robinson Baumgardner was born September 11, 1893, in W. Virginia, daughter of John and Mattie Robinson. She married Mr. Baumbardner in 1912, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1968. After their marriage, they lived at Cunningham until 1943, when they moved to Dallas. Mrs. Baumbardner retured to Paris in September, 1978. She was a member of the Briggs Street United Methodist Church in Dallas. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ray Pearson of Paris, Mrs. Nick Wilson of Mesquite, Miss Bonnie Baumbardner of Paris and Mrs. Eldridge Suits of Garland; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, P.E. Robinson of Jasper. She was preceded in death by a son, Allen J. Baumbardner, Jr. on Nov. 9, 1950.
