| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Mar. 1, 1978: COOPER - Louie Branch of Lake Creek died Tuesday at 9:50 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paris. He was 68. Services were to be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the McClanahan and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Regan and the Rev. Don Stanley officiating. Burial was to be in Lake Creek Cemetery. Mr. Branch was born Sept. 3, 1909, in Ladonia, a son of the Rev. J. C. Branch and Minnie Rowland Branch. He married Mildred Pound on May 26, 1934, in Waxahachie. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Creek and was employed by Delta County for 23 years and by the Texas Highway Department for 23 years. Survivors include his mother of Commerce; his wife; two brothers, Robert A. Branch of Forney and E. C. Branch of Commerce; one daughter, Mrs. Don Morgan of Duncanville; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were to be Darrell Herin, Vernon Thompson, Dee Copeland, Hobart Young, Gains Price and Ray Blevins.. |
