| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Sept. 13, 2013: Verlene Rebecca Bills, 92, of Paris died Sept. 9, 2013, at her home. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at New Birth Baptist Church with Bishop Samuel F. Evans officiating, Interment will follow in Fairland-Littlejohn Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home. Verlene Rebecca Bills was born on Sept. 24, 1920, to the parentage of the late Willie and Addie Gray. She was a member of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed for over 50 years. In 1998, she retired from Paris Health Care Center. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, a sister, Melita Henson of Dallas; her grandchildren, Greg Reed and wife, Tammye, Anthony Reed and Zina Williams, Victor Reed, Casey Reed and wife, Jayceline, Shonda Barr and husband, Broderick, and Eric Reed and Valerie Waterhouse; and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. |
