July 3, 2011; Alamae Jean Burks, 82, of Paris, passed away Friday, July 1, 2011, at Dubuis Hospital. The family is to schedule a memorial service at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. She was born Aug. 1, 1928, the daughter of Norman C. and Myrtle Domino Good. She was a member of the VFW adn a homemaker during her working years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vester Burks; and her parents. Survivors include three daughters, Virginia Steward and husband, Ralph of The Colony, Gail Curtis and husbnad, Mike, of Carrollton and Lisa Lafever and husband, Will of Paris; seven grandchildren, Dustin Steward and wife, Melissa, Holly Williams and husbnad, Brian; Micah Ray and wife, Dana, Toby Ray and wife, Sarah, Dana Patrick and husbnad, Tanner, Jason Co0hee and wife, Tuesday and Roy Cohee and wife, Katessa; 21 greatj-grandchildren; a sister, Dena Metz of San Diego CA; along with two nieces, Denise Earl of Anchorage Alaska and Allison Filkins of Paris.
