Notes
Information from Funeral Home: Roy Brown, a cherished husband, family man, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024, in Paris, Texas, at the age of 73. Born on July 24, 1951, in Lamar County, Texas, to M. L. and Dorothy (Johnson) Brown. Roy’s life was a testament to the power of love and dedication. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Mary, for 37 years, and his love for her was evident to all who knew them. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and laughter. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he took immense joy in the company of his son, Jacob Wilson, and cousins, Clarence Watts, and Tina Ziegler. His puppies, Sherry and Baby Girl, were also a source of great happiness and companionship. Though predeceased by his parents, his daughter Rachel Brown, his brothers Melvin and Ernie Brown, and his sisters Mary and Linda Meek, Roy’s legacy of love and kindness lives on through his family and the countless lives he touched. Roy’s passion for cooking led him to a fulfilling career as a self-employed cook. An avid outdoorsman, Roy found solace and joy in the natural world. He was an enthusiastic fisherman, and his garden was a place of pride, especially his prized tomatoes. Roy’s love for the outdoors extended to camping, where he found peace under the stars, surrounded by the quiet sounds of nature. Roy loved his westerns on TV, and enjoyed Science Fiction shows, and could never get enough of playing with his puppies. Roy Brown lived a life rich in experiences and relationships. He loved deeply, laughed heartily, and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. As we bid farewell to Roy, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey well-traveled, and a man well-loved. Cremation Services provided by Roden-Pryor Funeral Directors. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Roy, please visit our floral store.
