Notes

Information from Funeral Home: Eloise Burchinal-Preston, born on February 14, 1942 in Paris, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 surrounded by family & her dear friend. She was the beloved daughter of Jack & Syble (Cunningham) Boswell and her step-father Horace Shires and granddaughter of Lloyd & Bertha Cunningham. Eloise loved, more than anything, spending time with her family. Specifically her mother Sybil Shires and Eloises five sisters: Marcella Razor of Paris, Texas, Julane Warren of Branson, Missouri, Betty (Basinger) Nichols of Lamar County, TX, Elizabeth Melton of Texarkana, TX, Regenea Crews of Chicota, TX and their families. Eloise was a graduate of Paris High School. She worked at Merico Bakery for many years, where she eventually retired. She loved Jesus, fishing, casino trips and spending time with her family. We will miss her smile and presence on Earth but anticipate our heavenly reunion. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband James E. Burchinal and later by her husband John R. Preston. Eloise is survived by her four children: Stephanie Adams and her husband Jeff, Pennie Hayden and her husband Mike, James Burchinal, and Eric Burchinal and his wife Heather. Her grandchildren as well; Jeff Benji Adams, Laura Adams, Kylie Burchinal and Keely Burchinal as well as several beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A family hosted memorial gathering will be held at a later time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
