Information from Funeral Home: Harold Lee Blackburn, 92 of Blossom, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024. Funeral services have been set for Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Sylvan Cemetery with Rev. Mike Fortenberry and BJ Templeton officiating. No formal visitation has been set. Family and friends may sign the guest book and view on Monday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Harold was born in the Moore Springs Community of Reno on December 29, 1931 to Lee and Margaret Isom Blackburn. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Emmy Lou Blackbourn on October 20, 1956 in Blossom. Harold said many times “he was fortunate enough to have many careers he loved down through the years". He worked as a Farmer, Rancher, Banker and Business Owner. Harold was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Lions Club, Honorary FFA recipient, Veteran “Quilt of Valor” recipient, and received the Blossom Citizen of the Year Award. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Emmy Blackburn; children, Bebo Cantrell and husband Phil, Susan Coston and husband Bubba, Dana Parker and husband Roy; grandchildren, Kristy Blackshear and husband Colin, Kelly Freelen and husband James, Jeff Pasquill and wife Keely, Alyssa Woodall and husband Landon, Aaron Parker; great-grandchildren, Emalee and Baylee Freelen, Cash and Lee Blackshear, Laney, Landry and Lexi Woodall, Jensen and Easton Pasquill; great-great-grandchild, Suttyn Sanchez; sisters-in-law, Becky Blackburn, Gale Hervey and husband Buford; special nieces, Donna Moffitt, Gina Blackburn; numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Blackburn and wife Peggy, Mike Blackburn; sisters, Nelda Templeton and husband Sonny, Camelia Blackburn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Boss, Richard Yarbrough, Michael Lee Blackburn, Craig Blackburn, BJ Templeton, Richard Drake, Colin Blackshear, James Freelen, Jeff Pasquill, Aaron Parker and Landon Woodall. The family would like to thank Golden Home Care and Legends Healthcare for the loving care they provided.
