THE PARIS NEWS, Feb 6, 2024: “Thomas Lee (Tom) Terrell, 91 of Paris, Texas. Passed away on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024. Thomas was born in Pecan Gap, Texas on July 23,1932 to John T. and Bessie Mckinney Terrell. He was married 58 years to Dorothy Malveira (Dolly) Terrell. Thomas served in the Navy during the Korean War on The USS Baltimore CA68. Worked in baking manufacturing at Merico for 40 years until retirement. Survivors include children, Deborah Terrell Johnson, Larry Terrell and wife Donna. Grandchildren, Edward Paul Johnson and wife Tara; Susan Johnson Lingg and husband Shayne; Stephen Terrell and wife Kristin; Kristen Terrell; and Ryan Terrell (Haley). Great grandchildren, Deborah Lynn, Jillian, Caroline Johnson, Layton and Ellery Thomas, Lucas, Nolan, and Edward Lingg, Kynlee and Lyndin Terrell, Ledger Iglecias. A sister, Lynda Sparks. Preceded in death by parents John and Bessie Terrell; his wife Dorothy Terrell; daughter, Linda Terrell; granddaughter, Tiffany Terrell Thomas; and son-in-law, Edward H. Johnson. Siblings, Johnny, Joseph, Pat, Dora and Mary. A funeral service will be held on Feb, 15 at Ted Dickey Funeral Home at 2128 18th Street Plano, Texas. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. and services begin at 12 p.m. with burial to follow at DFW National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donate to Tunnel to Towers at t2t.org.”
