| Notes Information from Funeral Home: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ricky O’dell Blair, a devoted father, Navy veteran, and a man who touched the lives of many. Born on November 1, 1954, Ricky left this world on December 18, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, honor, and unwavering dedication. Ricky served his country with distinction as a proud member of the United States Navy. His commitment to duty and love for his fellow sailors defined his character. He was proud of the time he served and showed it every day wearing his navy hat. Beyond his military service, Ricky was a loving father to his two sons, Joshua Blair and Kurtis Blair. He embraced fatherhood with open arms, providing guidance, support, and unconditional love to his boys as they navigated the journey of life. Ricky’s legacy will undoubtedly live on through the values he instilled in his sons, and the memories they shared will forever hold a special place in their hearts. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ricky’s life and pay their respects during the viewing, which will take place on Thursday, December 28th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home, located at 730 Clarksville Street, Paris, TX 75460. The family finds comfort in the presence of those who knew and loved Ricky, and they welcome the opportunity to share stories and memories during this time of reflection. A final farewell will be held the following morning, Friday, December 29th, at 10:00 AM, as Ricky is laid to rest at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. This sacred place will serve as a fitting tribute to a man who dedicated his life in service to his country. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a veterans’ charity of your choice in Ricky’s honor. Let us remember Ricky O’dell Blair not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the love he shared, the sacrifices he made, and the enduring legacy he leaves behind. |
