Paris police responded at 12:22 p.m. Tuesday to a single-vehicle wreck and found a 2004 Pontiac GTO fully engulfed in flames, according to police records. The vehicle veered off the road and struck a utility pole, according to a news release. David Cole said his 17-year-old son, Dakota Ryan Cole, of Reno, died at the scene. Another man, Tyler Joseph Beaver, 20, of Paris, died Thursday, he said. 'One of them got ejected,' David Cole said. 'A lady helped one of them out, I was told, and then my son was in the backseat.' A medical helicopter transported Beaver to Medical City Plano in Plano, Texas, with a traumatic brain injury, among other injuries, and died during surgery, according to an online fundraiser set up for Beaver’s funeral expenses. The driver, Dalton Worthy, was transported to Paris Regional Health and later flown by helicopter to another hospital, David Cole said. 'He’s apparently up talking,' he said. 'My daughter showed me a video last night where his sister showed him on it saying hi.' First responders were at the scene for nearly three hours, according to police records. Flames had fully engulfed the car by the time he arrived, David Cole said. He said he found out at work after a family member of his son’s girlfriend called him on the phone. 'And then I got on Life360, and I saw where they were, and I went there and it was a wrecked vehicle,' the father said. David Cole said his son was a good kid. '(Dakota Cole) loved his family,' he said. 'In his spare time, he loved hanging out with his friends. He worked at WashMasters and was a manager out there. He was homeschooled and graduated K12. He was just an all-around good kid,' he said. The Paris Accident Reconstruction Team responded and is investigating, according to a news release.
