Information from Funeral Home: Services for Stephanie Sherry Brown born August 6, 1962 to the parentage of Earlene Gordon and Roscoe Gordon. She died August 27, 2019 were held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Stephanie was a real joy to those who knew and loved her. Stephanie “Big Red” was a religious child. She attended Mt. Cannon Baptist Church where he and her sisters were taken to church by their stepfather, Joe Baldwin every Sunday faithfully. She attended First Ward Elementary here in Paris, Travis Junior High and Paris High School. Her children Anthony Gordon, Tiffany Gordon and Sharmica Brown are the result of the union between Stephanie Brown and James Brown of Paris. Later in life, she met a special friend, Mr.William Brookins whom she spent the next 26 years with, eventually moving to Malakoff TX, helping raise her stepson, Corey Brookins. She is the grandmother of eleven: Tayshaner cooper, Ladarrius Gordon, Arizona gordon, Notorius Brown, Essence Gray, Janaya Brown, Santwan Gray Jr., Azaria Gray, Davion Hill, Anthony Gordon, Jr. and Preston Parker. Stephanie worked for Paris Independent School District driving school buses for several years and was very diligent in her efforts to provide comfort and measure of stability to those she worked for and with. Outside of work, she was a real country gal. Stephanie loved riding tractors, mowing her own yard, riding horses, feeding chickens and chasing wild hogs, cown and pigs. Stephanie loved dancing, playing with her grandchildren, scratching her lottery tickets, night-outs at the Casino, traveling, but most of all, she loved cooking and eating. Stephanie was 57 years and 21 days old. Her passing leaves to mourn her brother, Lyord Gordon, sisters; Debra Gordon, Donna Brown, Mary Bailey, Jennifer Gordon, Cynthia Gordon, Beverly Gordon and Wanda Gordon. Her mother, Earlene Gordon; sixteen nieces, ten nephews, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and acquaintances. Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, Roscoe Gordon, her sister Brenda Gordon, Maternal grandmother, Willie Mae Reed, Maternal grandfather, Earl Reed, Paternal grandmother, Willie-Mae Gordon, maternal grandfather, Boosie Gordan as well as some aunts, uncles and cousins.
