Information from Funeral Home: Allen Ray Berry, 68, of Paris, passed away at his home, Saturday, February 4, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Friday, February 10, 2023, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Reverend Lynn Hood officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Cemetery, Reno, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm, Thursday, at the funeral home. Allen was born April 4, 1954, in Paris, to John and Avis Patras Berry. He was self-employed as a carpenter and when he was not working, he loved to be hunting or fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Johnny Berry. Survivors include his wife, Violet Matlock; children, Jacky Berry & wife Carrie, Bobby Berry, Jeremy Berry and Justin Berry & wife Bobbie; a daughter, Cheyenne Matlock; grandchildren, Jackie Berry, II, Cody Berry, Bentley Berry, Nate Allen, Hannah Allen, Layla Allen, Jacie Sparks, Matthew Berry, Aubree Berry, Charleigh Berry, Tanner Berry, Elizabeth Berry, Ethan Berry, Zayden Matlock, and Breanna and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Kolt Berry, Kohen Berry, Railee Harrel, Emma Harrel and Jamison Berry; a brother, Larry Berry & wife Pat, a sister-in-law, Brenda Berry, along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Casket bearers will be Jeremy Berry, Justin Berry, Cody Berry, Jackie Berry, II, Matthew Berry and Jacky Berry. Honorary casket bearers will be Nate Allen, Charles Mack Hicks, Ronnie Berry and Bobby Berry.
