THE PARIS NEWS-Oct.2,2012: Norman M. "Mike" Bove, 82, of Pattonville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30,2012, at his home. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Abundant Life Church in Minter with the Rev. James Lyndsey and the Rev. Donnie Sherrill officiating. Burial , with military honors, will follow in Milton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. At 7p.m. Tuesday there will be an opportunity for those wishing to speak and tell a memory of Mike. Mr. Bove, the son of Albert and Hannah Hansen Bove, was born Nov. 26,1929, in Philadelphia, Pa. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a master electronics technician and worked at Texas Instruments before moving to Lamar County. He worked a short time at Campbell Soup Co. before becoming maintenance supervisor at Ideal Bakery. He began later working at Kimberly-Clark when the plant was being built. He worked there 13 years before retiring. He loved cattle ranching , his horse and dog. While living next door to a Baptist church, at the age of 12, he was saved and baptized. He was a God-loving Christian, never losing his faith in his Lord Jesus Christ. He was a member of Abundant Life Church in Minter, the American Legion and the NRA. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John Norman Bove; two great-granddaughters, Alisa Lane Whitley and Laura Alizabeth Caillet. Survivors include his wife, Mary Rivers Bove, whom he married on March 1,1968; Children, Deborah Pannell and husband, Eddie of Camp Wood, Thomas A. Bove and wife Karie of Pattonville, Russell W. Weaver and wife, Pandora of Blossom and Charles D. Weaver and wife, Page of Altus, Okla.; Grandchildren, Penny Pannell Wallace of Camp Wood, Bo Pannell and wife, Tonya of Camp Wood, Brad Bove and wife, Bambi of Deport, Brian Bove and wife, Nicki of Paris, Jessica Weaver Hollingsworth and husband, Nick, and son, Kylan of Savoy, Lyndsey Ray Weaver of Savoy, Meagan Brooke Bove of Pattonville; seven Great-grandchildren, Leslie, Ashley, Hailey, Eli, Lilly, Lane and Bo Jr.; one great-great-granddaughter. Sarah; Sisters-in-law, Pearl Bove of Hanover, Pa. and Elizabeth Ann Clark of Colorado Springs, Colo.; nieces, Janice Fields and husband, John of Potomac, Md., Nancy Kunci and husband, Ralph of Redlands, Calif., Marianne Clymer and husband, Michael of Bellaire, Md., Lynn Fehskens and husband, Paul of Bellaire, Md., Anne Connors and husband, Fran of Bellaire, Md., Donna Nash and husband, David of Joppa, Md., Dorenda Sprague and husband, Jim of Santa Clarita, Calif.; a nephew, Greg Morales of Amarillo; and cousins, George Hitchens of S. Pasadena, Fla., Robert Hitchens of Gulf Port, Fla. and Carol McAllister of Ossing, N.Y. Casket bearers will be Russell Weaver, Jeff Gibson, Johnie Goins, George Woods, Wes Bailey and Mark McNeal. Honorary bearers will be Robert Rickaby, Gilbert Arraigia, Robert Fox, James Myers and Will Swank.
