THE PARIS NEWS, Nov. 5, 1989: "HONEY GROVE - Minnie Blair, 82, of Honey Grove, died at 10:47 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, in St. Joseph’s Hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, in Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bobby Holt officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs. Blair was born in Hale on Feb. 24, 1907, a daughter of William Leslie and Maude Dewoody Veach. She married Lloyd Vernon Blair on Dec. 25, 1925, in Honey Grove. He died Oct. 21, 1987. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 901 for 36 years. She had served as worthy matron. Surviving are four sons, W. T. Blair and Ronald Blair, both of Honey Grove, David Blair of Nashville, Tenn. and Joe Blair of Dallas; three daughters, Ann Shelton of Honey Grove,. Mary Jenkins of Tyler, and Jean Brown of Whitehouse; 14 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl Sistrunk of Beaumont and Georgia Shannon of Dallas. Pallbearers will be Tommy Brown, David and Steve Jenkins, Andy and Michael Shelton, Perry, Scott and Mike Blair. The family will be at the Blair residence."
