THE PARIS NEWS, May 7, 2012: "Davis E. “Pat” Beaver, 83, of Paris, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Dubuis Hospital in Paris. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham with the Rev. Glynn Vickers and the Rev. Bob Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham where U.S. Army military honors will be given. Family visitation will be 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Pat was born Sept. 18, 1928, in Bonham to D.E. Beaver and Bessie Jane Sandifer Beaver. He was preceded in death by his father; mother; three sisters, Ludie Moore, Bertie Ward, Mary Weiss; and brother, C.C. “Bud” Beaver. In 1955, he married Ora Margaret Rogers in Honey Grove. Pat served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at DeRose Industries for over 30 years and then worked at Bonham ISD for over 10 years until he retired. He lived most of his life in Bonham until he and his wife, Margaret, moved to Paris in 2010. He was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Bonham and most recently Calvary United Methodist Church in Paris. Pat is survived by his wife, Margaret Beaver. of Paris; daughter, Becki Norment and husband, Sims, of Paris; son, Steve Beaver and wife, Lannette, of Emory; daughter, Lori Kaprelian and husband, Sean, of North Richland Hills; grandchildren, Ryan Beaver of Austin, Cody Beaver of Emory, Brin Beaver of Waco, Pate Norment of Fort Worth and Chet Norment of Elon, N.C.; as well as many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ryan Beaver, Cody Beaver, Pate Norment, Chet Norment, Charles Cashion and Vic Durham.
