THE PARIS NEWS, June 19, 2015: "Dorothy Earlene Beauchamp, 75 of Sumner, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at her home. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10 a.m. on Monday at Detroit Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerry McDowell officiating. A formal visitation is not scheduled, however those wishing to pay respects may sign Mrs. Beauchamp’s guestbook at the funeral home. Dorothy, the daughter of James Alexander Smith and May R. Pope Smith, was born on May 4, 1940, in Manchester, Texas. She worked in and traveled with the carnival for a number of years. She was an avid quilter and excellent seamstress. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Walls; a daughter, Dorothy Mae Walls; a sister, Anna Lou Williams; and a brother, Alvin Lee Smith. Survivors include three children, Elton Walls, Joe Walls and Dianna Simons; three grandchildren, Phillip, Mark and Betty Lynn; eight great-grandchildren, Ariel, Bre’anna, Sabian, Ethan, Hayden, Connor, Kara and Chance; a sister, Bonnie Dicken; a son-in-law, Loyd; along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
