THE PARIS NEWS, August 24, 2011: "Verbie G. Bellotte, age 77, of Avery, passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at Avery First Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Churchill officiating. Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family is to receive friends an hour before service time at the church. He was born May 8, 1934, in Avery, the son of Ernest Wilton and Nillie Meadows Bellotte. He was a member of Avery First Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was proceeded in death by a son, Kenneth Ray Bellotte. Survivors include three sons, Willie Bellotte of Austin, David Bellotte of Oklahoma and Gary Bellotte of Paris; one daughter, Pam Patton of Oklahoma; two sisters, Ernestine Anderson and husband, Melvin, of Avery and Dorothy Townsend and husband, C.J., of Fayette, Ala.; two brothers, Danny Bellotte and wife, Darlene, of Maud and Leo Bellotte and wife, Hallie, of Bossier City, La. Pallbearers are Ronnie Brower, Joe Bearden, Vernon Easpett, Jimmy Dale Brookshire, Ed Stephenson and Rickey Burleson.” Submitted by Linda Broyles.
