THE PARIS NEWS, August 7, 1958, p. 4: “Mason Barber Ferguson Funeral Home has charge of funeral arrangements which were incomplete for Mason Barber who died Wednesday at his home, 621 W. Cooper Ave., Cooper. Mason Barber, 71, is survived by his wife, Elnora, two daughters, Mrs. Fannie Bell Morgan, Littlefield, and Mrs. Rosa Colbert, Rt. 6, Paris; three sons, William Barber, Hugo, Okla., Worthie Barber, Stockton, Calif., and Eugene Barber, Lake Creek, and 19 other descendants.” Submitted by Linda Broyles.
THE PARIS NEWS, August 10, 1958, p. 9: “Mason Barber. Funeral of Mason Barber of Cooper will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in New Zion Baptist Church in Cooper with burial in Woodland Cemetery by Ferguson Funeral Home of Paris. Officiating will be the pastor, the Rev. B. T. Mitchell. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Fannie Bell Morgan, Littlefield, and Mrs. Rosie Colbert, Rt. 6, Paris; three sons, William, Hugo, Okla.; Worthy, living in California, and Eugene, Lake Creek, and 19 other descendants.”
