UNNAMED NEWSPAPER-UNDATED-HAND DATED 9/16/1982: “Albert Banks, 440-28th. NW, died Monday, Sept. 13, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m. in Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with Harley Stripland officiating and burial in Union Grove Cemetery. Mr. Banks was born Dec. 30, 1911, in Mt. Vernon, a son of William Elmer Banks and Laura Diggs Banks. He married Edna Earl Reid on July 2, 1976, in Hugo, Okla. He was retired from the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation after 41 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Albert Banks Jr. of Rockwall, Billy Rex Banks of Houston and Wayne Morgan of Albuquerque, N.M.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Sue Ward of Dallas and Mrs. Johnnie Lynn McNutt of Lexington, Okla.; one brother, Donald Scott Banks of Mesquite; one sister, Mrs. Gracie Lee Manson of Campbell; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.”
