Unnamed, Undated Newspaper: "Mrs. Louise Ballard, 45 of Leisure Lodge, formerly of 604 11th N.W., died Saturday, June 16, 1973, in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Monday at the Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home with Mr. Herbert Dean of the West Side Church of Christ officiating. Interment was made in Providence Cemetery. Louise Phillips Ballard was born May 1, 1928, at Megargel, Texas, daughter of Kirby and Alta May Phillips. Mrs. Ballard worked for Westinghouse and Sears and was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Royce Carmon of Paris; one son, Mike Ballard of Paris, her foster mother, Mrs. Flora Lauderdale of Paris; two sisters, Mrs. Wilma Doosley of Houston and Mrs. Elvin Burger of Fort Worth; two brothers, Junior Phillips of Hobbs, N.M., and Lloyd Lauderdale of Dallas, and two grandchildren.” Submitted by Linda Broyles.
