| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, April 9, 1978: "Mrs. Jesse Badgett, 73, of 29 SE 10th, died Thursday, April 6, 1978. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Leverett-Steele-Thomas Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. George Broome officiating. Interment was made in the Detroit Cemetery. Sylvia Emerson Badgett, was born December 4, 1904, daughter of George W. Emerson and Alamedia Emerson. She married Jesse C. Badgett on October 3, 1928, in Lamar County, who preceded her in death on Oct 1, 1958. She was a member of the Church of God. Suvivors include one nephew, Bobby R. Warren of Bossier city, LA. Pallbearers were James Barnes, Andrew Boaz, Emrey Neal, Jack Compton, Ernest Johnston and Earl Fields." |
