Information from funeral home: Tommie Mae Mayes-Brooks, 66, of Paris entered eternal rest on April 18, 2017, at Paris Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 27th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Maxey Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017, at New Birth Baptist Church with Bishop S. F. Evans serving as Eulogist. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home. She was born August 30, 1950, in Paris to the parentage of Thomas Mayes, Jr., and Annie Jackson-Mayes. She was a member of New Birth Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and one sister. She is survived by sons: Broadus Brooks, Jr., (Rowena) of Port Orchard, WA, Samuel D. Brooks and John R. Brooks, both of Paris; brothers, the Rev. Connice Mayes (Elnora) of Hugo, Charlie Mayes (Debra) of Paris, Sonny Mayes, Jerry Mayes and Billie Mayes, all of Paris. Also, five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
