THE PARIS NEWS, 24 Aug 1959, Monday, p. 4: “Mrs. James H. Bean - Mrs. James H. Bean, 34, who lived at 1870 Neathery St., died Monday at 3 a.m. at St. Joseph’s hospital where she had been ill since Saturday. She was a member of Ramseur Baptist Church where the body will lie from 1 p.m. until 2 o’clock Tuesday, when the pastor the Rev. W. H. Fisher, will conduct the funeral. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home will make burial in Fairview Cemetery at Clarksville. Mrs. Bean, born at Rising Star, February 3, 1925, was the former Miss Billie Jean Maynard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floy J. Maynard. She and James Howard Bean were married in Clarksville, May 23, 1942. They came to Paris 10 years ago, Mr. Bean being employed at the Sherwin-Williams Company store. Mrs. Bean was a member of the Victory Sunday School Class of Ramseur Church, and a Brownie Scout committee member. She leaves her husband; two children, Karen Dianne and Michael Douglas Bean; her parents; two sisters, Mrs. B. E. Bowers, Ft. Worth, and Mrs. Charles Hubbard, Eldorado, and her grandmothers, Mrs. Effie Loyd, Brownwood, and Mrs. Lou Maynard, Rising Star.”
