THE PARIS NEWS-Nov.23,2016: Gary Wayne Bridges, 63, of Taylortown, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at the Clyde Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services, with military rites, for 2:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25th, at the Pavilion of Union Cemetery at Taylortown with Charles Riggs officiating. The family will receive friends at the pavilion one hour prior to the service. Gary, the son of Harold Weldon Bridges & Geneva “Jo” Malone Bridges, was born Jan. 1, 1953, in Ft. Worth. He graduated from Delmar High School and serviced in the U. S. Air Force during the later months of the Vietnam War. Gary’s career with the United States Postal Service spanned twenty years of service before his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Linda Smith Bridges, whom he married on June 1, 1996, his mother, Geneva “Jo” Gordon of Taylortown, a brother, Gregory Bridges & wife Sherry of Terrell, children; Brandon Bridges & wife Claudia of Taylortown, Geri Kay Bridges & Jack Kindle of Reno, Denise Roberts of Taylortown and Sabrina Fuchs & husband Brian of Alaska, grandchildren; Kayley Buster, Briley Kindle, Cohen Bridges, Breelyn Bridges, Evan Roberts & Canyon Boswell, Presley Roberts, Braylyn Roberts, Britton Latham and Keeli Fuchs, great grandchildren; Cash Smith, Kiley Farmer and Lincoln Boswell along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Casket bearers will be Lawrence Malone, Danny Malone, David Cochran, Brad Cochran, Charles Riggs and Jamie Malone.

Note: Linda Louise Smith Bridges passed away on 4 April 2021.
