THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, January 17, 1952, p. 12: “Mrs. Mabel M. Brown. Mrs. Mabel Morene Brown, 25, died unexpectedly Thursday about 2 a. m. at the home of her father, E. W. Jordan, Rt. 2, Brookston. She had been suffering from a cold, but had not been considered seriously ill. Gene Roden & Sons, funeral directors, have charge of arrangements, which were incomplete. Besides her father, Mrs. Brown leaves three children, two by a former marriage. Gery Keel and Shirley Keel, and Don Brown; two brothers and a sister, Cpl. Vernon Jordan, Germany; Lawrence Jordan, Broken Bow, Okla., and Miss Bertha Jean Jordan, Rt. 2, Brookston."
