Information from Maxey Funeral Home: Bessie Mae Blake was born November 22, 1932 to the late Clifton and Mary Neal Cooper. Mrs. Bessie attended school at Lone Star Schools in Novice, TX. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was an active member of the Palestine Baptist Church until her health failed. Bessie Mae married Granvel Blake from Novice; within this union they welcomed seven children. Bessie worked for Campbell Soup Industries in Paris and after 23 years of dedicated service she retired. Bessie was a God fearing and loving woman that will be truly missed. Bessie was greeted by her parents Clifton and Mary Neal Cooper, her husband Granvel Blake Sr., one daughter Betty Minter, son Gerry Blake. Two sisters Essie Mae Brown and Catherine Beamon and six brothers Will, Johnny, Luther, Hersher, Ravmon and Troy Cooper. She leaves to cherish her heart with: Daughter – Joyce Blake Sims of Toco, Tx Sons – Joe Blake of Ft. Worth, TX, Granvel Blake Jr. of Seattle, WA., Ronnie Blake of Toco, TX, and Marcus (Telesta) Blake of Carrolton, TX Sisters - Vonell (Frankie) Ricks, Mattie Morris, and Emma McCleary A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
