Notes

THE PARIS MORNING NEWS, Wednesday, January 26, 1921, p. 6: “T. W. Barnes. T. W. Barnes, residing at No. 41 North 14th street, died at his home at 6 o’clock yesterday evening. He had been in failing health several months, but his death came a little unexpectedly. He was 55 years old and was born in South Carolina. He moved to Kaufman county with his parents when he was a small boy. For several years he traveled among the farmers in Lamar county out of Dallas as the representative of a gin company and was well known here. He moved to Paris about two years ago and bought a lot and built a nice little home on it about a year ago. After building the home he was married in Dallas. He is survived by his wife and several brothers. The remains will be taken to Able Springs, Kaufman county, for burial and will probably leave over the Texas Midland this afternoon.”

THE PARIS MORNING NEWS, Thursday, January 27, 1921: “Taken to Kaufman County. The remains of W. T. [sic] Barnes, who died Tuesday evening at his home on 14th street, were taken to Kaufman county yesterday for burial."
