THE PARIS NEWS, Sept. 27, 2017, page 3: “Libbie Louise Brem Baxter, 74, went to meet her Lord and Savior and her baby son, Geoffrey Wayne as well as many loved ones that have gone on before her Sept. 23, 2017, at her home in Mesquite, Texas after a lengthy illness. Services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, in the Gene Roden Memorial Chapel of Roden-Pryor Funeral Directors with Brother Ron Byers officiating. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in the family plot at Shady Grove Cemetery. Libbie was born Sept. 16, 1943, in Paris, Texas, to James A. Brem and Rebecca (Green) Brem Lenoir. She attended Paris schools and was of the Baptist faith. Libbie was first married to Holland Dunn and later she was married to James C. Baxter in Mesquite. The loved ones she joined in heaven were her baby boy, Geoffrey Wayne Dunn; her father; two brothers, James C. Brem and Hugh W. Brem; and one sister, Linda J. West; all of her grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Libbie leaves behind her husband, James Baxter; two sons, Robert F. Dunn and wife, Gina, and K. Scott Dunn and wife, Jodie; a daughter, Debbie Padgett; and friend, Roger Shipp; her mother, Rebecca Lenoir; a step-sister, Barbara Cooper; a sister-in-law, Connie Brem; grandchildren, Robert J. Dunn, Shadoe T. Dunn, Jessica E. Padgett, Leslie A. Padgett, and Samantha L. Padgett; and four great-grandchildren.”
