Notes

THE CLARKSVILLE TIMES, 21 Sep 2020: "Lucille Beakley of Johntown passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 in Paris, Texas at the age of 81 years. She was born Shirley Lucille Nolan on December 7, 1938 in Cunningham, the youngest of 13 children born to Robert Leonard and Ruthie Bell (Johnson) Nolan. Lucille was a Christian, and a caregiver. She graduated from the Matador High School in Matador. At a young age Lucille lost both of her parents, leaving her to be raised by her older siblings, who she in turned took care of in their later life. She loved her whole family all four generations and taking care of her brothers and sisters. Lucille was an avid bowler, traveling to many places to bowl. She was a huge sports fan and did not mind being tossed out of a game for disagreeing with the referees. She loved her Rivercrest Rebels, Texas Rangers, and Dallas Cowboys, but her greatest joy was watching her children and grandchildren playing sports. Lucille even coach summer league softball in Johntown. In her spare time, she would round up a table of 31 or as she referred to it as 'Caddy' and watching game shows. Lucille will be remembered for her giving and loving heart and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the Smith Cemetery in Rosalie, with Tim Wood officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Wood-Haggard Funeral Home in Bogata. An on-line guest registry is available at woodfuneralhomes.com."
