| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, February 4, 1947, p. 4: “MRS, JOHN B. BRANNON. Mrs. John B. Brannon, 77, died at home at Garretts Bluff, Sumner, Rt. 2, Friday at 12:50 p.m., after being ill sometime, and funeral service was held Saturday afternoon at Garretts Bluff Church. The Rev. J, H. Kirby, Methodist pastor, officiated, and burial was made by Brown-Roden Funeral Home in Garretts Bluff Cemetery, pallbearers being W. T. Herring, Gerald Burleson, Arlie Foster, Reginald Parsons, Byron Cooper and Tom B. Palmer. Mrs. Brannon, formerly Miss Mary Louise Perkins, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Moses Perkins was born in Mississippi, April 21, 1869. Her husband died in 1921. She leaves these children: Mrs. A, U. Parsons, Hugo, Okla,; Mrs. Theo Cooper, Buford Brannon, Clifford Brannon and Miss Valla Mae Brannon, all of Garretts Bluff; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. H, P.
