THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, December 24, 1954, p. 2: “MRS. T. J. BEASON. Paris News Service HONEY GROVE -- The funeral of Mrs. T. J. Beason, 96, who died Thursday, was set Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Cooper’s Funeral Home here. The Rev. Henry Ball of Tioga had charge, burial being made in Oakwood Cemetery. Named pallbearers were Ray Deyhle, Ray Shope, Herbert Sneed, I. H. Bryant, J. E. Meade and Frank Martin. Mrs. Beason’s death occurred at the Sanitarium of Paris where she had been a patient since fracturing her hip some time ago. The former Miss Mary Rebecca Grisham, daughter of the late W. J. and Nancy Grisham, she was born in Tennessee, June 8, 1858. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. She was married to the late T. J. Beason, June 30, 1890, in Hunt County, not long after the family had moved to Texas. The Beasons moved here in 1907. She leaves two daughters, Miss Annie Beason here, and Mrs. J. R. Henley, Los Angeles, Calif.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.”
