THE PARIS NEWS, 15 Jan 2014: "(Picture) Mary Lee Bishop, 76 of Paris, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Heritage House. Graveside services will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Thursday in the Forest Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Mickey Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. Mrs. Bishop was born on Aug. 14, 1937, in Lamar County, a daughter of Elmer Roscoe and Mary Ann Wharton Hicks. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her first husband Edwin Henry Scheer on April 20, 1986, and was preceded in death by her husband Otto Bishop on May 28, 2012. Survivors include her children, Roberta Dianne Sulsar of Paris, John Alan Scheer of Lewisville; grandchildren, Bradley Alan Scheer of McKinney, Ashley Nicole Hines of Murray, Rachel Anne Sulsar of Paris, Lauren 'Paige' Fleming of Paris, Colten Nash Scheer of Lewisville; great-grandchildren, Kiersten Scheer, Makenzie Sulsar, Avery Hines, Cale Boswell, Lily and Christian Scheer; and brother, William 'Bill' Hicks. Pallbearers will be James Hicks, Robert Hicks, Billy Hicks, Tracy Kelley, Carl Hicks and Glen Vanderburg. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting fry-gibbs.com."
