THE PARIS NEWS, Jan. 27, 2003: “DEPORT, Patricia Christine Barner, 75, of Deport died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, in the Deport Nursing Home. Funeral services are set for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, in the chapel of Wood Funeral Homes, Deport, with the Rev. Buddy Greer officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She was born on Sept. 8, 1927, in Winnsboro, the daughter of Lorenzie and Lessie Castle Boles. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Paris. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Thedus Boles and Welcome Boles; and one sister, Eva Nell Hill. Survivors include her children, Chris Wolf of South Bend, Ind., Eugene Bagby of Quitman, and Patti Robinson, Joan Langley and Sammy Strickland, all of Deport; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul D. Boles of Texas City; and one sister, Nadine Gilliam of Winnsboro.”
