DAYTON DAILY NEWS, (Dayton, Ohio), Monday, October 11, 1926, p. 25: “OHIO BOY KILLED Lima Youth Struck by Auto in Texas. PARIS, Tex., Oct. 11. -- (AP) -- Joseph Clyde Baker, 5-year-old son of E. H. Baker of Lima, Oh., was killed Sunday night when struck by an auto on a highway near here. The Baker family, en route to Mexia, Tex., from Lima, had stopped their car near the road and the child was struck when he started to cross the highway. The body will be forwarded to Mexia today for burial.”
