THE PARIS NEWS, July 16, 2019: “Wanda Jeanne Bratcher, 89, of Paris, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019, at her home. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, at the Pavilion of McDonald Cemetery, with the Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. The family will receive friends at the pavilion 30 minutes prior to the service. Mrs. Bratcher, the daughter of Ben and Pearl Brinkley King, was born on April 12, 1930, in the Broadway Community, of Lamar County. On Dec. 23, 1949, she married Ollie ‘Red’ Bratcher, building 49 years of family and memories, before his death on June 20, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Deloris Coston, Jack King, Ben Dale King, Bob King, Pete King and Emily King. Jeanne worked a number of years at Hollywood Vassarette and Walmart before her retirement. She was a member of the Midway Christian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Denison and husband, David, of Paris and Debra Northam, of Paris; grandchildren, Tate Northam, Josh Northam and wife, Tricia, Breanna Fowler and husband, Jeff and Brandon Denison and wife, Leah; great-grandchildren, Sam, Ben and Will Denison, Payton and Holden Fowler and Avery and Alex Northam; siblings, Bill King and wife, Sarah, of Paris, Becky Huggins, of Forest Chapel and Juanita Gordon and husband, Troy, of Paris; along with numerous nieces and nephews; and a plethora of friends. Honorary casket bearers will be, David Denison, Brandon Denison, Jeff Fowler, Tate Northam, Josh Northam, Scott Cass and Bill King.
