THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, December 24, 1984, p. 4: “William Bryan Basinger. William Bryan Basinger, 1915 Brown, died Sunday, Dec. 23, at McCuistion Medical Center. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 24, at 10:30 a.m. in Bright- Holland Funeral Home Chapel with Bill O’Neal officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery at Deport. Mr. Basinger was born Jan. 22, 1934, in Kaufman County, a son of William Thomas and Lois Fincher Basinger. He married Judy Bangs on March 6, 1971, in Hugo, Okla. He was employed by Babcock and Wilcox. Surviving are his wife; his mother who lives in Deport; one son, Greg Basinger of Rt. 4, Paris; two daughters, Yulon Basinger of Paris and Tonja Murray of Pangburn, Ark.; two stepchildren, Tammy Williams of Amarillo and Larry Taylor of Paris; two brothers, Darrell Douglas Basinger of Colorado Springs and James Lee Basinger of Colorado Springs; one grandchild.”
