THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, July 15, 1954, p. 7: “JOHN L. BOHALL. “John Logan Bohall, 66, former Roxton resident, was found dead, apparently of a heart attack, early Tuesday night at his home, 1704 Cleveland St. He was alone in the house at the time, and was found by his son, Roy Bohall, when he came home between 8:30 and 9 p.m. Mr. Bohall’s wife was in Dallas, visiting a daughter at the time. W. L. (Bill) Collins, justice of the peace, was notified, and examination indicated that Mr. Bohall had been dead about an hour. He had been in failing health some time. He and his wife had moved here about two years ago from Roxton, where he was born. Besides his wife, he leaves these children besides his son here: Mrs. Ruth Barnes, Dallas; Mrs. Ruby Griffin, in California, and Mrs. Bonnie Punknet, Dallas. Gene Roden & Sons have charge of arrangements, which were incomplete.”

THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, July 15, 1954, p. 18: “BOHALL FUNERAL. Funeral service for John L. Bohall, 67, of 1720 Cleveland St., will be held Friday at 11 a. m. at Gene Roden & Sons chapel and burial will be made at Restland Cemetery, Roxton. The Rev. Calhoun Johnson, Roxton Baptist pastor, will officiate. Mr. Bohall, employe of Speas vinegar manufacturing company here until about a year ago, died of a heart attack at home early Tuesday night. He was born in Iowa but lived in Roxton before moving to Paris two years ago. He was a son of the late W. M. and Elizabeth (Morgan) Bohall. Besides his wife, the former Miss Bert Strait, he leaves these children: Roy Bohall, Paris; Mrs. Ruth Barnes and Mrs. Bonnie Punkoney, Dallas, and Mrs. Ruby Griffin, Norwald, Calif.; six grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Bohall, Roxton, and two sisters, Mrs. Addie McClain, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Sadie Bowen, Lubbock.”
