| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, October 28, 2018: “Stephen Wade Burris, 48, of Powderly, passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at his residence, after a short illness. Stephen was born on May 8, 1970, in Paris, Texas, a son of Mike Burris and Betty Foreman Ward. Stephen was a plumber, loved riding his Harley and enjoyed wood working. Family and friends will remember him as fun loving, joking and a big teddy bear who would help anyone. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Burris, whom he married on May 21, 1993, in Powderly; children, Hagen Burris and Paige Burris; father, Mike Burris; mother, Betty Ward; brothers, Dale Burris and Drew Ward; and sister, Annette Burris. He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Short.” Submitted by Viola Broyles. |
