THE PARIS NEWS, Feb. 20, 2011: “Lois K. Berry, 68, of Powderly, passed away Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with pastor Peter Gray officiating. Burial is to follow in Union Grove Cemetery. The family is to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral Home. The daughter of Emery and Avona Thomas Chance, she was born Feb. 27, 1942, in Oberlin, Kan. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Paris where she was known as ‘Grandma Berry.’ She had been a waitress for many years in Paris and never met a stranger. She was loved by all who know her. Until retirement, she assisted her husband in their business, R. M. Berry’s Taxidermy. Survivors include her husband, Randell Berry, whom she married on Aug. 22, 1958; son, Donnie Berry and wife, Ann, of Paris, daughter, Debbie Miller and husband, Jeff, of Powderly; a brother, Larry Chance and wife, Coleen, of Big Bear, Calif.; six grandchildren, Cody Berry, Scotty Berry and wife, Glenda, Kelley Berry, Randy Miller and wife, Ashley, Jason Miller and wife, Brandy, and Justin Miller and wife, Samantha; great-grandchildren, Constance Berry, Westin Biel, Christopher Atnip, Kaden Berry, Braden Berry, Jayden Berry, Haylee Miller, Walter Miller, Brianna Miller, Chey Miller, Kaitlyn Miller, Leo Miller and Brice Miller; numerous nieces and nephews; and special ex-daughter-in-law Donna Biggers. Named as pallbearers are Larry Berry, David Berry, Glenn Berry, Robert Berry, Darrell Berry, Ronnie Berry and Mark Figueroa.
