THE PARIS NEWS, Jul 15, 2013: “Gary W. Biggers, 63, died of stomach cancer on Saturday, June 29, 2013. The family received friends and family at a gathering honoring Gary’s life on Tuesday, July 2, at the home of Gary and Pat. Friends and family with gather at a later date at Meadowbrook Gardens Cemetery in Paris. Gary was born to Samuel Palmer and Sibyl Carter Biggers on Feb. 13, 1950, in Paris. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1972 and moved to Houston where he worked in public accounting at Bracken, Hopkins & Read and subsequently Biggers & Ferguson. Gary was loved and respected by his family, friends and clients. Gary was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Guin Biggers; his mother. Sibyl Biggers; his brother, Sammy Biggers and wife, Jamie; niece, Cecilee Biggers Echols and family; nephew Carter Biggers and family; Pat’s siblings, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Calvary United Methodist Church in Paris, or the charity of your choice. Online tributes may be posted at bradshawcarter.com.”
